ToyBox Tool
Project started in: 2008-08-01
ToyBox was a side-project; which was a first-person simulation tool that was intended for use by non-programmers (artists and designers). If the artists had custom 3D models, they could import such models (maps and meshes) into the simulator and engage in a first-person shooter scenario -- complete with physics and a customizable heads-up-display (HUD).
ToyBox remained unfinished mainly because it served as a project in advanced design patterns and data structures.
ToyBox was built using C++ and the Irrlicht engine.
